Capital Love LitFest to be Held in Maryland
The Washington Writers’ Publishing House (WWPH) will host the inaugural Capital Love LitFest. The event will take place on Sunday, June 28, at The Writer’s Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
The eight-hour festival program includes nine workshops, panel discussions, and readings. Over 25 writers will participate in the event. Topics of the sessions cover love, relationships, identity, and creativity.
The festival celebrates the release of the new anthology, “Capital Love,” which features poetry and prose by 55 authors from Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. According to the organizers, the collection explores various manifestations of love and serves as a response to the current socio-political climate.
Admission to the festival is on a pay-what-you-can basis, starting at free. Due to venue capacity, attendance is limited to 120 people, and advance registration is required.
